Talking in Parenthesis
Ramblings and angst from a mostly stay at home mom
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us. It is in everyone. And as we let our light shine, we give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. -Nelson Mandela

Three Things Thursday
2. Being hot saps my whole houses energy, including the dog. If you ask him to go out he just looks at you.
3. Even with all the heat, I still don't want air conditioning. I would rather an open window and a fan. Of course if I lived anyplace with any real humidity I probably would change my mind, our humidity was 11% yesterday, so it was a dry heat!

I've never met you, Megan, but I thought of you yesterday when I took my daughter to the library to get her first prize from the reading program. :) I hate being hot, but I've been trying not to run the air yet, so one thing I do (besides swim) is to put a cold pack from the freezer on my back or on the back of my neck. It cools me down quickly, and improves my mood, too. Have a great summer with the kiddos!
