Talking in Parenthesis
Ramblings and angst from a mostly stay at home mom
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us. It is in everyone. And as we let our light shine, we give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. -Nelson Mandela

Extended Three Things Thursday
1. What is your favorite Fall color (on clothes, on trees, etc.)? Orange, yellow and that red that only seen on leaves in the fall.
2. What is your favorite Fall food? Apples, cranberries and pumpkin.
3. Do you like or dislike daylight savings time? Could seriously live without the time change, but I like going to work in the daylight.
4. Do you like or dislike football? Well being that I met my hubby while he was a football player in college I love it. It is much easier watching somebody else play.
5. Do you have any special Thanksgiving traditions? Recently it has been at our house. my folks come up for the week. We have dinner with just them and then my in laws come over for pie. It is loud, full of laughter and lots of love. Exactly how it should be.
6. What is the weather like where you live this time of year? Hmmm weather in Colorado. Well that could mean a blizzard or 80 degrees. Usually it is crisp sunny and just right for football.
7. Share at least one favorite Fall memory. Okay this a strange one. On of my favorite Thanksgiving we had one of those above mentioned blizzards. My mom had thrown her back out and couldn't cook. So my dad and I cooked dinner while taking turns shovelling us out.
8. What are you thankful for today? Oh so many things, that my oldest and I had a great conversation before he left for school. That everybody is healthy. My parents will be here for Thanksgiving... you get the idea.

I saw this list on Andy's, too. Great stuff. Right now I favorite thing is pumpkin cranberry bread.
