Talking in Parenthesis
Ramblings and angst from a mostly stay at home mom
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us. It is in everyone. And as we let our light shine, we give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. -Nelson Mandela

Three Things Thursday
1. The World According To Garp by John Irving. My absolute favorite John Irving book, I think I have owned 4 copies of this book, because they have worn out.
2.Midnight In The Garden Of Good And Evil by John Berendt. The book is much better than the movie, although I enjoyed the movie. The characters are even better in the book.
3. Mystic River by Dennis Lehane. Another book made into a movie. This movie was amazing one of my favorites, but the book blows it away.

Three Things Thursday
1. Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum books. They are funny, and a great way to lose myself for a few hours. I love the characters and am always somewhat bummed to end one.
2. Kathy Reich's Temprence Brennan books. Yes the ones Bones is based on. I love Temp, she is great character, and Kathy knows he stuff because she lives alot of what she writes.
3. Sue Grafton's ABC books. I love these books. Great fast paced stories without the gushy love stories alot of women centered books have. I not big on the gushy stuff.
