Talking in Parenthesis

Ramblings and angst from a mostly stay at home mom

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us. It is in everyone. And as we let our light shine, we give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. -Nelson Mandela

Three Things Thursday

Just some random things today...

1. We have a new kitten. Shadow, he is an adorable grey tabby. Important tip, if your next door neighbor says look in this box don't, run, run!

2. I am making all my Christmas cards this year, well stamping them. I am having so much fun doing this but there is glitter everywhere.

3. It is catalog season again. I love going to the mailbox when I know it is full of catalogs.

Three Things Thursday

The theme is three things I do to cheer myself up when you are low...

1. I know this might sound strange but I look through all my cross stitch patterns. Messing with the fabric, floss and reorganizing my patterns always makes me feel better.

2. Listen to music. Loudly, singing along. Usually something from the 80's.

3. Watch one of my favorite movies, and depending on my mood that will be depend on what it is. Grease, any of the John Hughes 80's flicks, Imposter, Good Luck, Happy Accidents.

and a bonus! Aren't you lucky?
I also daydream.
